Thank you!

Hi all, I know I rarely post anything here. Actually I've never posted anything here before! Haha. I want to especially thank you everyone that are involved in the LIITA event. It was good, don't you agree? I'm so encouraged by everyone of you. Everyone! :)

As I went to work today, turn on my laptop and checked all my emails, there's one particular email which caught my attention and made me smile. So I just want to share it with you too. It's called "Don't Give Up". (Shared to me by a friend)

As we're coming to year-end, reflect on this year, what major decisions that you've made and have you followed through that decision? Are there circumstances in life that you felt is impossible to overcome? Or you just felt like quitting? Before you answered those questions, read the story below:

Don't give up.....

One day I decided to quit...
I quit my job, my relationship, my spirituality... I wanted to quit my life.
I went to the woods to have one last talk with God.
"God", I asked, "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"
His answer surprised me...
"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"
"Yes", I replied.
"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I

took very good care of them.
I gave them light.
I gave them water.
The fern quickly grew from the earth.
Its brilliant green covered the floor.
Yet nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.
In the second year the Fern grew more vibrant and plentiful.
And again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo. He said.
"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed.
But I would not quit.
In year four, again, there was nothing from the bamboo seed. I would
not quit." He said.
"Then in the fifth year a tiny sprout emerged from the earth. Compared
to the fern it was seemingly small and insignificant...But just 6
months later the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and gave it what it needed to survive.
I would not give any of my creations a challenge it could not handle."
He asked me. "Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been struggling, you have actually been growing roots".
"I would not quit on the bamboo.
I will never quit on you."
"Don't compare yourself to others."
He said.
"The bamboo had a different Purpose than the fern.
Yet they both make the forest beautiful."
"Your time will come", God said to me.
"You will rise high"
"How high should I rise?"
I asked.
"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.
"As high as it can?" I questioned.
"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."
I left the forest and brought back this story.
I hope these words can help you see that God will never give up on you.
Never, Never, Never Give up.
For the Prayer is not an option but an opportunity.
Don't tell the Lord how big the problem is,
tell the problem how Great the Lord is!

In the midst of all your problems lift it up to the Lord who is above all else, He will calm raging seas within your heart. There are 9 more days before end of the year. It's still not too late... :)

Over the last six weeks of planning, I want to share honestly that there have been moments when I’ve felt quite stressed and frustrated. I have never cared so much about a cell harvest event as this one and I’m constantly wondering whether I’ve done enough or prayed enough.

I’ve had two committee members come up to me and ask me, "You’re quite stressed about this, aren’t you?". I didn’t really think about it until someone else brought it up yesterday saying, "Don’t stress, what’s the worst that could happen?".

Without thinking, I replied that the worst that could happen is that people show up, eat and play games without experiencing the love of God...that the message of what Christmas is about fails to drop a seed into their hearts. I said that after seeing how much effort, time, energy and finances the cell members have put into the event, there would be no point if there was no lasting impact...if God didn’t show up.

As I drove back home from work, I reflected on the conversation and realised the significance of what I said. My main worries are not that there won’t be enough food or that there won’t be enough door gifts or that the games don’t get everyone involved.

My concern is whether God will move in the hearts of every person that comes. I don’t know whether my faith level is enough to believe for salvations at the event or even to open up the avenues for people to respond.

I understand now that the only thing we can do is surrender everything to God and pray. At the end of the day, He has to take center stage because Christmas is about God’s demonstration of love to humble himself and come down to earth as a human. He took our sins upon Himself, dying on the cross and rising again to take His place in heaven.

Christmas is about Jesus Christ.

With fear and trembling, we can only bring our few loaves of bread and fishes, believing that He will work a miracle.

Please pray along.

Baby pictures!

Hi all,

Here are pictures of Bergson and Mei's baby, Marcus Jay Wong!

Hello world! My name is Marcus. Nice to meet you!

Ahhh, safe in mommy's arms.

Hello again! =P

YYyyaaawwwnnn...I'm sleepy now. It's been a long day.

The happy and excited parents!

Victory! (I can so imagine Mei doing this...)

As of about 4:30pm today, our cell members have become parents!

Congratulations to Bergson and Mei for the birth of their beautiful son named Marcus Jay Wong.

Our cell just keeps multiplying! =P

Praise God for His blessing on Mei's smooth delivery of Marcus, who weighs 2.99kg.

Please pray along as they travel back to Muar this week for her confinement period for journey mercies and for His hand to continue to be strongly on this wonderful family.

(I still can't believe that Bergson and Mei are now in the 'Uncle/Aunty' demographic now that they have children! Haha!)

I hope to post up pictures soon once Bergson sends me some. Please congratulate them when you get the chance.

Hi all,

There are only 10 more days to go before Love Is In The Air this Christmas kicks off! We had another 'pow wow' session of planning and prayer, and I'm very happy with the progress that has been made with all the different aspects of the event.

For cell last Friday, we visited the event venue so that we could visualise the space there for games, decorations and the programme, and we prayed over it. We realise that the effectiveness of the event will be not by might, not by power, but by His Spirit! It would be a waste of resources, finances and energy if we were to go ahead with our own strength and agenda.

Here are some pictures!

Adeline kindly drew up a floor plan so that we could work
out where to place chairs, tables, and decorations.

Roger adding his ugly drawing of a Christmas tree.

Hmmm...what decorations should we do?

After the planning discussion, we went downstairs to the hall.

The hall is much bigger than we expected! Lots of work for the décor team.
(If you look carefully, can see how Adeline dances when no one is looking!)

We prayed over the hall venue.

During prayer, this guy manifested and needed deliverance. =P

And, this guy has had too much to drink...

Love was in the air that night as romance flew between two members.

Leading to this.

After the prayer, the kids went to play while the adults talked.

Please pray along even as we believe that God has a great plan and purpose for this event!

See you all soon!

our cell is coming out with our very own Iron Man movie in anticipation for the Avengers movie that is scheduled to come out.

Check out our main character below! =P

When is a car not a car?

When it turns into a driveway.

Hi all,

There are some people that are sceptical that anyone in our cell looks like Brad Pitt. I would like to do a quick survey to see what you all think because I do think that there is at least one person that looks like him. Do provide your feedback!
